Both robots are proficient at picking up surface dirt on floors and carpets, and they can easily maneuver around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software makes smart maps of your home that aid the i3+ EVO to navigate and clean in a way that maximizes efficiency. However unlike the i7+ and other top-rated robots that we tested the i3+ doesn't have any obstacle-avoidance features which means it can be stuck on things like power cords or socks, and it may have trouble in navigating through transitions between surfaces like hardwood to carpet.
iRobot recommends you clear out areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, which includes getting rid of any clutter or toys it may come across. It is also recommended to keep the dustbin and filter free of dirt to prevent them from getting blocked. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station, and it automatically emptys the dirt into the docking station's dust bin. The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the top model in the iRobot flagship line and is equipped with the most recent features. The Roomba i7+ can remember up to 10 floor plans and their names thanks to Imprint Smart Mapping, an application that lets it map rooms so it can clean them more efficiently. It also integrates with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and direct your robot by voice or through the app.
In our testing, the i7+ was faster and more maneuverable than our second-placed model, the eufy RoboVac G30, and it picked up large pieces of pet hair from all surfaces kinds, including carpeting. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying garbage bin, which removes major maintenance sources and lowers the cost of recurring maintenance.
We were also impressed by the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot on how to start or stop cleaning sessions as well as move around the room and to vacuum a particular area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ with these services. Once connected, we were able to communicate with the i7+ using voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s preferences and monitoring its performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
This tiny Dyson model is an all-sports car that is amidst a sea of cordless vacuums that feel like minivans and buses. It has the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum for the majority of households and can fit perfectly next to a coffee table or on shelves that you can spin around like an enchanted device.
The V10 is powered by a 7-cell energy-dense Lithium-ion battery that can provide energy that lasts for 60 minutes. The sophisticated whole-machine filter system is able to trap allergens and then releases fresh air into your home. Its cleaning head is specially designed and drives stiff nylon bristles deep into carpet to suck up large particles and fine dust. It comes with three suction settings to match the task that is being completed. It is able to swiftly change from floor vacuum to handheld vacuum, and vice versa.

The main drawback of the V10 is its short run time. As CR's tests show, its marketing claims of up to 60 minutes are misleading. This is an average, not an exceptional, time to run the battery-powered cordless vacuum. It's enough time to vacuum a typical-sized home, but not enough to reach every spot. 4. iRobot Roomba 694"
One of iRobot's most popular robot vacuums the 694 is a basic model that's a great option for those who don't wish to spend too much on a robotic. It's capable of sucking up a variety of debris types and sizes during our testing, and it often passes over the same areas multiple times to ensure a thorough clean. Its flat front design allows it to reach corners and edges of walls.
Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate around your home, but it lacks the mapping capability of more sophisticated models like our top choices such as the i3+ EVO and j7+ series. It can get stuck on phone cords or furniture and is often unable to supply power before returning to its base.
The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways to the Roomba 694, as it has less parts that require regular cleaning, comes with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtering system, incurs lower recurring cost and has more advanced automation abilities and is able to better navigate its own. It also has a bigger dustbin and is charged faster.
The sleek RoboVac X8 has a superior battery life than the Roomba. It also comes with physical boundaries strips and can be controlled with your smartphone's voice assistant. It also feels more sturdy and has a stronger motor, and works better on bare floors and carpets with low pile, while providing a wider array of automation features.
5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+
Samsung is a well-known brand in the field of home electronics. It's not a surprise that they are also among the top manufacturers of robot vacuums and mop. Jet Bot AI+ has the most advanced onboard technology to navigate and avoid obstacles.
The app provides plenty of options to personalize your robotic cleaner, including virtual barriers mopping water levels, behavior adjustments, docking frequency settings, and much more. It's easy to comprehend and easy to use, just as is the case with other Samsung devices.
In our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors. It removed 86% of dog hair (on carpet). It was not as successful in avoiding taller items such as cords or socks. This was disappointing.
